FlyBoard FAQ’s

Girl FlyBoarding

How hard is it to use?

This is the most common question asked. The FlyBoard is very very easy to use and the average person can be flying within 10 minutes having never used the board before. Anyone that will be operating the FlyBoard or operating the PWC (Personal Watercraft) powering the FlyBoard will need to go through training prior to entering the water. The first thing you will do after entering the water is bring the Flyboard under your feet and the PWC operator will give you just enough power to bring the board to the top of the water looking like you are standing on the water. Once you feel comfortable there the PWC operator can raise you 3-5 feet out of the water and you can start maneuvering around the PWC. That’s it, your flying!

What is required to rent equipment?

You must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a verified credit card on file for the security deposit.

Do you require a damage waiver?

Yes, all renters are required to purchase damage waiver at the time of the rental.  The damage waiver policy is $50/day for the Sea-Doo and for the FlyBoard. The insurance covers the renter if there are any damages over $500 that occur on the Sea-Doo or $500 on the FlyBoard.

Do you need a security deposit?

A security deposit of $1,000 is required to rent the FlyBoard set up ($500 for the FlyBoard and $500 for the Sea-Doo). This can be in the form of a hold on a major credit card or cash. This is due at the time of pickup from the renter. Deposits are released after the completion of the rental period provided no damage to the equipment is found, and no additional charges have accrued. If the deposit was done through a credit card authorization, no charges will be captured as long as no damage to the property is found.

What is your reservation & cancellation policy?

To reserve your equipment there is a $50.00 per day non-refundable reservation fee. When the equipment is reserved, it is no longer available for other customers and as such Extreme Sport Rentals cannot commit the equipment to another customer during the reserved dates. Consequently, in the event the renter cancels, changes dates, shortens their trip, or in any other way amends their rental period, the $50.00 per day fee is due. If a reservation is not canceled 24 hours prior to the reserved time the renter will be charged 50% of the rental and they will be charged for the entire rental period if a “no-show” occurs.

What size of towing ball and light adapter plug do I need?

You will need a 2” ball to tow any of our trailers. To connect the trailer lights to your vehicle you will need a 7 pin male plug.

Do you offer a service to drop off and pick up the rental equipment?

Occasionally we can deliver and pick the equipment to different locations. It is an additional cost of $50 per hour and time is counted round trip.

What accessories do you provide with your rentals?

Our rental equipment comes with a trailer, life jackets, and helmets at no extra charge.

What happens if I damage anything?

When you return the equipment we will video tape the rented equipment to ensure that both the renter, and Extreme Sport Rentals is protected incase of any discrepancies in damages. If any damages or lack of cleaning was the fault of the renter, they will be responsible for the cost of repairs up to $1,000. No repairs will be allowed by renter or other suggested mechanics.

Does the rental equipment need to be clean and full of gas when returned?

Yes, we give it to you full of fuel and clean and expect it to be returned in the same way. Failure to do so will result in additional charges.
